GoGo Search: Instant Bookmark Search

LinkaGoGo includes a search feature for finding bookmarks and folders, but GoGo Search takes it to another level. Instead of typing a keyword and clicking a button, GoGo Search shows results instantly as you type — no Enter key needed.

Results appear inline on your current page rather than taking you to a separate search results page. When you clear the search field, the results disappear and your normal view returns. This immediate, in-place response is what inspired the name.

How It Differs from Regular Search

Traditional search requires you to finish typing, press Enter, and wait for a results page. GoGo Search starts showing matches as soon as you pause typing. It's fast and stays out of your way.

Setting It Up

GoGo Search is available as a toolbar for Plus subscribers. To add it:

  1. Go to Options/Toolbars
  2. Select GoGo Search from the toolbar list
  3. Choose your preferred position

I replaced the default LinkaGoGo Search toolbar with GoGo Search — once you try it, you won't want to go back.

Search in LinkaGoGo Today

The new LinkaGoGo carries this instant-search philosophy forward. The search bar in the redesigned app uses the same debounced, type-as-you-go approach — results appear within 300 milliseconds of your last keystroke. And it's now significantly more powerful with prefix operators: filter by tag, URL, rating, visit count, date ranges, and link status. For example, tag:python star:3+ created:30d finds highly-rated Python bookmarks saved in the last month.

For Premium users, AI-powered semantic search goes even further — type what you remember in natural language, and it finds bookmarks by meaning rather than exact keyword matches.
