3. Populate Your Collection
The quickest way to get value from LinkaGoGo is to bring in your existing bookmarks. You have two options:
Option A — Import from your browser:
- Export bookmarks from your browser:
- Chrome — Menu (⋮) → Bookmarks → Bookmark Manager → Menu (⋮) → Export bookmarks
- Firefox — Bookmarks → Manage Bookmarks → Import and Backup → Export Bookmarks to HTML
- Safari — File → Export Bookmarks
- Edge — Menu (…) → Favorites → More options → Export favorites
- In LinkaGoGo, open the user menu (top right) and go to Account → Import.
- Upload the exported HTML file — your folders and bookmarks are imported automatically.
Option B — Try the sample collection:
Go to your dashboard — you'll see a Load demo bookmarks button at the bottom of the empty state. Click it to instantly load 58 sample bookmarks in 18 folders so you can explore LinkaGoGo with real data before adding your own.
4. Add a Bookmark
- Click the + button in the toolbar at the top of the page.
- Paste or type the URL you want to save.
- Give it a title (or let LinkaGoGo fill it in automatically).
- Optionally add tags, comments, or assign it to a folder.
- Click Save.
5. Install the Browser Extension
The easiest way to save bookmarks is with the LinkaGoGo browser extension. Click the extension icon on any page to save it instantly — with title, tags, and folder selection.
- Chrome — Install from Chrome Web Store
- Firefox — Install from Firefox Add-ons
- Safari (Mac) — Download LinkaGoGo for Mac. After installing: open LinkaGoGo from Applications once to register the extension, then go to Safari → Settings → Extensions and enable LinkaGoGo. The first time you click the extension icon, Safari will ask for permission to read the page — choose Always Allow on Every Website to avoid being asked again.
- Edge — Install from Microsoft Edge Add-ons
6. Or Use the Bookmarklet
If you prefer not to install an extension, you can use the bookmarklet instead:
- Open the Tools page from your user menu in the top-right corner.
- Find the "Save to LinkaGoGo" button.
- Drag it to your browser's bookmarks bar.
- Now, whenever you're on a page you want to save, click the bookmarklet — the page is saved to LinkaGoGo instantly.
7. Create a Folder
- In the sidebar, click the + icon next to "Folders."
- Enter a name for your new folder.
- Press Enter or click Save.
- Your folder appears in the sidebar, ready to hold bookmarks.
8. Add a Bookmark to a Folder
- When adding or editing a bookmark, look for the Folder dropdown.
- Select the folder you want to file the bookmark in.
- Click Save. The bookmark now appears inside that folder.
9. Mark a Bookmark as Favorite
- Find the bookmark in your list.
- Click the star icon next to the bookmark's title.
- The star turns solid, and the bookmark appears in your Favorites dashboard card.
10. Rate a Bookmark
(Plus+ plan required)
- Open a bookmark and click Edit.
- Use the star rating control to set a rating from 1 to 5 stars.
- Click Save. You can now sort and filter bookmarks by rating.
