1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
Bookmark Data
We store the bookmarks you save, including URLs, titles, descriptions, tags, folder structure, and any comments or notes you add.
Usage Data
We collect basic usage information such as login timestamps, bookmark visit counts, and feature usage. This helps us improve the Service and understand how it's used.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide and maintain the bookmark management service.
- Authenticate your identity and secure your account.
- Send transactional emails (password resets, account notifications, bookmark backups).
- Improve the Service based on aggregated usage patterns.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your bookmark data for advertising or profiling.
3. Cookies and Local Storage
LinkaGoGo uses an httpOnly session cookie to keep you logged in. This cookie contains a secure token and cannot be accessed by JavaScript.
We use browser local storage to save your theme preference (light or dark mode) and other UI settings. No tracking cookies are used.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate LinkaGoGo:
- Stripe — for payment processing. Stripe handles your payment information directly; we do not store your credit card details. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Resend — for sending transactional emails (password resets, backup delivery). See Resend's Privacy Policy.
- Cloudflare — for hosting, DNS, and bot protection (Turnstile). Turnstile is used on signup and login forms to prevent automated abuse. It does not use CAPTCHAs or track users across sites. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- Google — for favicon retrieval. When you save a bookmark, we fetch the site's favicon via Google's favicon service. Google may use tracking cookies in connection with these requests. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Plausible Analytics — for privacy-friendly website analytics. Plausible is a lightweight, open-source analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track users across sites. All data is aggregated and no individual visitors can be identified. We self-host our Plausible instance. See Plausible's Data Policy.
5. Data Retention
Your account and bookmark data are retained for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your data within 30 days. Backups may retain data for up to 90 days after deletion before being purged.
6. Data Export and Deletion
You can export all your bookmarks at any time using the export feature in the app. To request full account deletion, contact us at [email protected].
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure httpOnly session cookies. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.

9. Children's Privacy
LinkaGoGo is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
