In 1976 Greg & Carole Thompson purchased what was then the Rx Shop from Caroles father, Richard Green. Greg and Carole re-named the store Thompson Pharmacy and for a number of years operated the business by themselves. They moved to the current location at 324 South Union in Old Towne in December 1996. Today, Thompson Pharmacy & Medical employs 43 people including Greg & Carole and five other family members.
