• Web Site Evaluation - Available via the INTRAnet only, this is part of the LCLIS Policies & Procedures. Original created to assist in the development of the Online Reference Library, these guidelines are a bit heavy and nerdy*, but contain useful help in judging the currency and reliability of websites. (*I'm allowed to be rude about these, 'cos I wrote 'em!)
• Internet for ICT > Virtual Training Suite - This site hosts simple, free, interactive tutorial to improve your Internet skills. In particular, DISCOVER: How to search the internet effectively, and JUDGE: Practical tips for judging which websites are worth using, are well worth a look.

• All you need to know about search engines - This is Phil Bradley's Squidoo page. The names 'Phil Bradley' and 'Karen Blakeman' will keep cropping up, as they are the UK's foremost authorities on the Internet for Information use and produce stuff particularly relevant to libraries.

• Finding Information on the Internet - An excellent tutorial on internet search and evaluation skills. Includes useful forms and handouts that can be downloaded.
