  • Baroness Ashton, Who? - Baroness Ashton (Cathy Ashton) the worlds most highly paid female politician! Effectively she is Europe's Foreign Secretary and has a track record for seeking to appease Muslims by wiping out any reference to the Christian faith in statements, press releases etc. A row erupted on Wednesday when a meeting of EU Foreign Ministers chaired by Baroness Ashton broke up  after failing to agree a statement about religious persecution in Egypt and Iraq. Firstly we have to stop pandering to  all the other faiths, respect them yes but if anything within the Christian... Read full post here

  • Cameron Playing Dangerous Game! - David Cameron is playing a very dangerous game with his own supporters and the country! Now I am getting into a seeming rut of always being critical of this coalition but I really do want them to be successful and they must be successful for the country's sake, what I also want though is a Conservative Party to vote for at the next General Election. There are two area's which will stop the UK becoming the dynamic country it should be: To get the Lib Dem's into the coalition David... Read full post here
  • Cameron tries the Politics of Foreign Affairs! - In politics David Cameron has many talents but 2 he lacks are a knowledge/sense of history and touch/feel. On his trip to Pakistan he has given them: £650million towards schooling When we are so short of money, making soldiers redundant whilst fighting 2 wars and cancelling some of our own schools building programs Sensitive roadside bomb technology. To help them combat roadside bombs which have been laid by the Taliban who are funded by Pakistan, how long before this information is passed to the Taliban? Then, David... Read full post here

Climate Change, yes we are still on the climate change theme, I had three tweets in reply which made the case for man-made climate change but I do wish commentors would comment on the blog rather than Twitter or perhaps that just means they have not read the article on the blog which is typical of the man-made climate change fraternity! The tweets are below, together with their relevant links, which are quite convincing if you are blind but we don't hide... Read full post here
  • Credit Card Rates Average 18.9% - The banks, who between them nearly bankrupt the worlds economies! The banks, who between them nearly bankrupt the worlds economies and were saved only by a massive injection of public funds are repaying us by charging exorbitant interest charges on any borrowings with credit cards now averaging 18.9%. Even with Bank of England (BOE) rates being the lowest in history the bankers are living up to their reputation of being just 'crooks in suits', even if you can get a load/credit the interest rates are sky-high with precious little help for the mortgage market, they are the... • Dangerous Times, Real Politics, a Time to Choose! - A little less than 5 years from now this country will really have to choose! A little less than 5 years from now this country will really have to choose, this will be the world of real politics and we will have to make fundamental choices which affect our freedoms, political system, way of life in fact our very identity.  In May this year we will have to vote for or against the AV form of proportional representation (PR), to put this in perspective, if AV (PR) had been our voting system since the last world... • European Union - can the Merkozy Partnership save the Euro-Zone - European Union, can the Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy partnership save the Euro and where do we stand now that David Cameron has vetoed the suggested treaty changes? Can the Merkozy partnership save the Euro and the European Union long-termYes they can but, and it is a big but, only if they genuinely create a United States of Europe out of the European Union with one treasury, one fiscal policy and yes this is full monetary union which can only lead to full political union and that is the rub. The treaty as it is relies on the consenting countries sticking to the... Read full post here

The European Union and the government of this country, things you really need to know and I don't need to write much about this, it is self explanatory but we do need to take action NOW! If we don't take action it will be too late, it almost is too late so action is urgent. • European Union - Senior Conservatives Demand a Referendum - Even before the current troubles within the European Union and the Euro-Zone public support for the EU was probably less than 40%, the latest poll shows 92% for withdrawal! The European Union and the Euro-Zone are failing institutions but they are failing institutions we must support because a collapse of the European Union would be catastrophic for the world economy. let alone the UK economy. Mark Pritchard, Secretary of the 1922 Committee Withdrawal from the European Union would have real advantages for the UK with little downside provided the negotiations were handled skillfully The European Union and... • European Union - UK's Stated View is the opposite to Germany - The UK's stated view on the European Union is totally opposite to the German view and David Cameron has to appreciate this, the Conservative Party view that we want to be in the European Union but not ruled by it is not the view of the rest of the European Union. We have heard some sensible talk, not all but some, from Cameron this week, Cameron talked about the European Union becoming a network rather than a block, now this is very similar to the old Conservative mantra of wanting to be a part of the European Union but not... I am a long time admirer of William Hague and he shares a lot of my beliefs  and concerns but on his assertion that the majority of British people do not want to leave the European Union and just want a changed relationship, he is badly wrong. • European Union and the Euro-Zone, have we avoided disaster? - After many false starts the European Union leaders, in particular the Euro-Zone 17, have come up with a solution to their crisis which has/had the capacity to engulf the worlds economies, but is it enough? The European Union leaders have produced a solution which they hope will save the Euro-Zone economies but do they really understand the technicalities of what they have created, have they really accepted the folly in the way the Euro-Zone was originally set up, are they really going to get full agreement for essentially a United States of Europe consisting of 17 countries and what... • For all the Lib Dem Politics and Anger, they didn't show up! - For all their Liberal politics and anger towards the NHS reforms they just did not turn up for the debate, for a party so bullish about its intentions they fall at the first hurdle The Labour party put down an amendment criticising the NHS bill which was debated last night but only a handful bothered to turn up, it just shows their commitment to government, mind you it went on until 7.00pm so they were probably all tucked up in bed! • GORDON BROWN, Politics, the Dream Crumbles! - So, the knives are out for Gordon Brown, this is the world of politics and some in the Labour Party are even longing for the Blair era which they perceive as being successful. Well before we look at the Blair era let's be honest, the polls were going south for Labour long before Gordon Brown took over in fact Blair got out before he was humiliated and with a totally damaged reputation but Brown has been so bad he has almost single-handed repaired the Blair reputation! • If They Only Understood What They Are Saying! - If only they understood what they are saying, or perhaps that would be frightening! Listening to Ed Miliband last night, it was the new labour press conferences with Miliband and Johnson, it appears Ed Miliband is a supporter of the proportional representation (PR) via AV vote and will be on the 'Yes' platform. Ed Miliband commented that PR/AV offered more democracy and was a much overdue reform to the voting system, well first when a politician offers more democracy it usually means less democracy and PR/AV is a point in case, one of Miliband's big charges against the coalition government has... • Libya, we don't actually know what we have ended up with! - The truth is that despite all the jubilation we don't actually know what we have ended up with, we may have just exchanged one tyrant for many others! Libya - Gaddafi may have been a vicious and ruthless tyrant but it may be that the many factions within Libya needed that type of leadership to control them, believe me the various elements within Libya are equally ruthless and power hungry and could result in another Czechoslovakia where the various factions fought for several years after Tito's departure. While there are areas of commonality there are areas of difference. So what are some of the differences? 1. Focus A lot of what managers do is focussed on the here and now or short-term. While leaders may also have to focus on the short-term, for example, in times of crisis, their focus will generally be more on the medium to longer term. 2. Creativity Management is generally about maintaining what is already in place and making... Read full post here

  • Politics - a needless fight and a waste of an opportunity! - In the world of politics you get certain opportunities to make an impression on history, if David Cameron has a talent it is for missing these opportunities! Politics in the UK is based on true democracy, if you get the most seats and an overall majority you are in and expected to get on governing the country in line with you manifesto, our system of First Past the Post only very rarely produces a coalition, which is good because coalitions are undemocratic!
